Nurturing Early Spiritual Character: CIS Primary Gresik Students Solemnly Participate in Hajj Manasik Simulation

GRESIK – The grounds of CIS Primary Gresik were filled with a sacred and vibrant atmosphere as hundreds of students and teachers gathered in pure white ihram garments to participate in the Hajj Manasik Practice for the 2026/2027 Academic Year.

During this practical learning session, students were guided step-by-step through the rituals of Hajj, the fifth pillar of Islam. Instructors provided clear explanations of the sequence and spiritual significance of each stage, including the ihram intention, wuquf, mabit, throwing the pebbles at jamarat, tawaf, sa'i, and tahallul.

The students showed great enthusiasm and discipline as they followed the simulated pilgrimage route prepared around the school campus. Equipping themselves with identity neck scarves and small pouch bags, the children also learned valuable lessons in organization, independence, and orderliness.

This hands-on educational event aims to provide experiential learning (learning by doing), instill Islamic values early on, and foster unity and discipline among students. The entire event ran smoothly, orderly, and concluded on a memorable note.
