Empowering Educators: CIS Sidoarjo Teachers Explore AI-Based Learning

SIDOARJO— In response to the growing role of technology in education, Chalidana Islamic School (CIS) Sidoarjo held a teacher training session titled “Preparing Innovative AI-Based Learning” on 3 November 2026 at the Computer Lab, CIS Primary Sidoarjo.

The training was attended by teachers from both CIS Preschool and CIS Primary Sidoarjo, providing an opportunity for educators across different levels to explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can support and enhance the learning process.

The session was led by Devy Eka Angelica, M.Pd., Gr., a Gemini Certified Educator, who introduced teachers to the use of Google Gemini as an AI-powered tool for education. Throughout the training, teachers were guided to explore how AI can assist them in developing learning materials, generating creative ideas, and preparing more engaging learning experiences for their students.

Beyond introducing new technology, the training encouraged teachers to explore AI as a supportive tool in their teaching practices. By understanding how to use Gemini effectively, educators can discover new ways to improve lesson preparation, support creativity, and make classroom activities more interactive and meaningful.

The activity reflects CIS’s commitment to preparing both teachers and students for the demands of the 21st century. As a school that nurtures Confident Muslims, Innovative Citizens, and Smart Leaders, CIS believes that innovation in the classroom begins with teachers who continue to learn and grow.

By taking part in this training, teachers at CIS Sidoarjo are expected to be better prepared to design innovative, technology-supported learning while keeping Islamic values and strong character at the heart of education.
