Little Hands, Big Batik: Celebrating National Batik Day!
This National Batik Day, our little artists had the chance to explore the beauty of Indonesian batik through hands-on creativity! From folding, dipping, tying, pouring, stamping, to spraying colours, each child explored different techniques to create their very own batik patterns. 🖐️🌈
Beyond creating something beautiful, this activity gave our children opportunities to strengthen their fine motor skills, practise hand-eye coordination, explore colours and patterns, and most importantly, express their creativity through play and discovery. 🌱✨
Our Playgroup friends explored stamping, while our PG-2 friends had fun with the spray technique. Meanwhile, our Kindergarten students experimented with the dipping, tying, and pouring techniques to create unique patterns of their own.
Every little hand created something different and that’s what makes their batik so special. ❤️
Through simple hands-on experiences like these, we hope our children can grow to appreciate the richness of Indonesian culture while having lots of fun along the way.
