STEAM Fair 2023, CIS Primary Juanda

STEAM is an abbreviation that stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. STEAM is a concept of learning process which started by defining and choosing subjects in the lessons itself and the factors that relate and connected to one another such as technology and engineering.
Firstly, the teacher will explain what STEAM is? What are the steps? What is the goal of the STEAM project? Next, the teacher will drive the discussion as a facilitator from any opinion and perspectives that comes from the student argument.
Students and teachers begin to open discussion and brainstorm in this first part of the learning process in order to define and choose subjects linkages in the lessons that could be manifest into a project. Every group will set up their steps, levels, and targeted time of learning process as they can do as a project under teacher guidance and assistance.
Project is the main goal of STEAM. Project is a culmination of a learning activity that engages every pupil in a group with a level of target and in certain period in order to create a product. The product is any form that produce in a set goal of learning target in a group. Start from the concrete thing to the abstract as a high level of thinking process. This is why STEAM Project is called a High Order Thinking skills (HOTs) in a learning process.
Chalidana Islamic School have established the STEAM Project as our curricular in order to establish a critical thinking, smart, Innovative, and confident character as a basic competence of CIS students to face an accelerating pace in information and technology era of 5.0 in the future. From the classroom to the world.
