- Promoting excellent Islamic values, learning, and practices, as well as ethics and moral character.
- Preparing students to become confident individuals and innovative citizens with smart leadership skills.
- Empowering students to be good Muslims with a strong aqeedah and the ability to contribute to society at large.
- Creating a nurturing, safe, and respectful environment for our students, parents, teachers, and the school community.
Goals
Chalidana Islamic School (CIS) employs the CIS–Keys to Students’ Success Model, fostering experiential learning to ensure students are well-prepared for the 21st-century world:
- C - Confident Muslims who possess a strong foundation in aqeedah, uphold high Islamic values and ethics and demonstrate moral character while maintaining awareness of physical, mental, and social-emotional well-being.
- I - Innovative citizens who are eager to learn and strive for high standards, exhibit openness to new thinking and ideas, proficiently use literacy and numeracy skills, leverage technology for learning, and apply creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Beliefs
- Islam places a high value on education, considering it the foundation for a successful life and the hereafter. We apply the theological concept of Ahlus-Sunnah wal Jamaah with Imam Shafi'i's Risalah.
- Teachers at our school are professionals who are caring and effective in teaching.
- Parents actively participate in their child’s education process.
- School facilities are well-equipped, safe, healthy, and clean.
- Students are exposed to and involved in a variety of educational opportunities with international standards, including the development of English-speaking skills as part of the learning process.
learning principles
- Islamic Values
- Adab: Refers to the duties and responsibilities set out in the Shari‘ah and in Islamic teaching generally.
- Akhlak: Refers to the manners associated with good breeding and the qualities of character possessed by a good Muslim, following the example of the Prophet Muhammad.
- Centered on the learner
- A learner-centered approach views learners as active agents. We believe that they bring their own knowledge, skills, past experiences, and ideas, which will certainly impact how they assimilate new information and learn.
- Integrated STEAM
- Integrated STEAM education is an approach that prepares students for a high-tech society by integrating science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
- Multiple Assessment Approaches
- To prepare future-ready students, CIS authentically assesses student progress using multiple and varied methods that inform educators and parents of the extent to which learning is occurring and that serve as positive feedback for student success.
- Social Emotional Learning
- Social-emotional learning is able to develop social and emotional skills which are used to cope with feelings, set goals, make decisions, and feel empathy for others. People with strong social-emotional skills are better equipped to manage daily challenges, build positive relationships, and make decisions.
- 21st Century Skills Learning
- Preparing a child for a world that doesn’t yet exist is not an easy task for any teacher. Our learning principles naturally incorporate skills and competencies, such as creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. We provide students with the technology and experiential learning opportunities that they need to master these skills holistically.
